Tri Kappa is a philanthropic sorority formed for the promotion of charity, culture and education in Indiana communities. The Eta Kappa Chapter of Tri Kappa in Avon, Indiana will award over $2000 in scholarship money to one or more qualified high school senior applicants residing in Washington Township who plan to attend college or a trade school in the Fall of 2025 following graduation.

Please be certain to have all materials collected and completed before submission. Incomplete applications will be deemed ineligible, therefore not considered.

To be eligible, a student must:

• Be an Avon-Washington Township Resident

• May NOT be an immediate relative of a Tri Kappa member

• Be significantly involved in community service throughout his/her high school career

• Be involved in extracurricular activities

• Have a strong, positive academic record

• Graduate by June 30, 2025 with diploma from regionally accredited Indiana high school.

• Intend to pursue full-time vocational, trade or baccalaureate course study.

​State Scholarships 

The state organization of Tri Kappa will award a variety of scholarships to college students throughout the state in the spring. Each scholarship awarded is for $1,000.00. Since 1914 Tri Kappa has provided scholarships and thousands of dollars are awarded statewide each year. The Crown Point Gamma Theta Chapter seeks applicants to sponsor for an academic scholarship given to students from each of twelve provinces in Indiana. Additional scholarships will be awarded dependent upon the funds available. Each chapter may sponsor one applicant for each type of scholarship. Any full-time student currently enrolled in a baccalaureate or graduate program, who has completed at least one academic year, may apply. Criteria used by the Tri Kappa selection committee are academic achievement, strong goals, extracurricular activities, work experience and volunteer service.
